Holly is tied to Danny Quinn. When she first got married, it was to Danny Quinn. The couple was separated in 1993. Jim Carrey was her first encounter with Jim in 1994 during her audition for Ace Ventura, Pet Detective. Though she was not offered the part in Ace Ventura the Pet Detective, they formed bonds while working on Dumb and Dumber. The couple married in 1996. Holly, Grant and their respective families established their own A Fund in 1992 at Hobart and William Smith Colleges to honor her brother Alexander. Holly described him as an "boy with a lot of hopes, dreams, plans and hopes". When Alexander died at the age of 14 the boy had travelled throughout Europe and Central America. The singer also appeared in bars in the area, such as Tootsie's on Broadway. Alaina, who was born in 1989 took home the WinniSTAR talent contest for the youth at Lake Winnepesaukah. Alaina was inspired to perform through Holly Witherow. Holly was suffering with a brain tumour. The first position she held was with CiC Pizza. She attended Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe Senior High School in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
